Above Board

Hello Mama Bears and Papa Bears. This includes you if you are here reading this blog. Mama and Papa Bears are nurturing, caring and mothering people who care for, nurture and mother others. This nurturing extends to your own children, friends, pets, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, even your parents as your seasons change.

Today I introduce the Americans for Homeopathy Choice Blog. And what a way to present the first post by introducing you, the readers, the supporters, to the Executive Board of Directors and the Advisory Board.

The phrase, Above Board originated in the seventeenth century admonishing card players to keep their hands above the table, above the board and play fair. There are a few synonyms for above board that I would like to highlight when introducing this board: legitimate, honest, fair, open, frank, straightforward, candid, forthright, unconcealed, trustworthy, trusted, by the book, fair and square, on the level, on the up and up, and upfront.

You can be confident that these players are all this and more. They always have their hands on the table working, no thumb twiddling or hands under the table in this group. And they are diligently working to ensure no one else is playing underhanded to jeopardize homeopathy choice.

Here comes the board.

The Executive Board

Straightforward President, Paola Brown, hales from Texas and soon to be Budapest, Hungary. She cares for three children, an awesome hubby, a dozen chickens, two beehives, two cats, and a milk cow. Arsenicum album came to the rescue in one of her favorite homeopathy experiences. All within five minutes, her family came down with food poisoning and had violent stomach pains. But within two to three doses of the remedy, they were all sleeping peacefully.

Also, a Texan, Mindy McLane is the trustworthy Vice President. She loves homeopathy and uses it to care for her amazing husband and four beautiful children. She was introduced to homeopathy two and one-half years ago when she had strep throat four times in six months. She is grateful that when nothing else worked, homeopathy saved her. She has had no more bouts of strep since.

Kaylee Braz, the Secretary, and frank Media Specialist lives in Colorado with her husband and two daughters. Homeopathy rocks for her because it delivered. Following the birth of her second daughter, she hemorrhaged and was losing enough blood that her doctor was concerned. She had her doula start dosing her with Arnica and within an hour, the bleeding slowed significantly, and the concern passed.

The Advisory Board

Honest Fundraising Chair, Cathi Diaz, makes Florida her home. As a wife, mother, and grandmother she searched for answers to her family’s numerous allergy issues. Frustrated that conventional medicines caused harmful side effects and herbs and essential oils only offered some relief, she found answers when she discovered homeopathy. She credits homeopathy with doing more to uproot her family’s allergies than anything else she has tried.

The fair Affiliate Program Director from California is Gaylene Kuintzle. Her husband has two forms of iritis which can cause blindness. When treated with steroids, he had daily and weekly doctor visits. Being advised by a licensed homeopath, Rhus tox taken at the first sign of an attack, stopped it immediately with no visual or other signs of the iritis. He rarely gets it now and they are always able to stop it with one dose and continue for a few days to heal.

Stephanie Laundrie, the trusted Treasurer, has lived in California for about forty years with her husband. With her kids and grandkids in Texas, she uses homeopathy to care for anybody who will let her, mostly her church family.

Jean Holmes is by the book in charge of the Magic Pills movie screenings, at least for now. In Ohio, she nurtures her husband, son and has plans to include a pet. Her husband became persuaded that homeopathy was effective after seeing their son’s earaches resolve so fast and thoroughly with Hyland’s Earache Tablets.

From Maryland, Wendy Groomes is the forthright State Chapter Head Chair. She cares for two cats, boyfriend, sisters, parents, aunts, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Her first experience with homeopathy was with using Arnica after a fall and bruising. It helped relieve immense physical discomfort and reduced the length of bruising.

Wisconsin is the state of residence for the legitimate Website Manager, Keri Hessel. She is a homeschooling mom nurturing two beautiful young girls raised without drugs. Introduced to homeopathy through the Weston Price Foundation and consulting with a licensed homeopath, she has used homeopathy for skin issues, pain management during labor, burns, bruises, sore throats, headaches, and tooth trauma. Homeopathic remedies managed pain after her wisdom tooth extraction and no pharmaceutical drugs were needed post-surgery.

Harriet Jones, our unconcealed Chaplain, is a native Tennessean. She is a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Having been led to homeopathy two years ago, she has seen phenomenal results with her family, especially her aging mother. One notable homeopathic victory was experienced with her granddaughter. While visiting, she got into trouble and was intensely remorseful about the impending punishment from her parents. Harriet (unbeknownst to her granddaughter), selected the right remedy in a water dose. After three doses, her granddaughter asked: “Is this happy water?”.

The open, Relationship Liaison, Lorraine Kimmel, makes her abode in Oregon with her family and friends. Her first real experience with homeopathy was watching a licensed homeopath guide her teen granddaughter through a protocol for a blood disorder that the only treatment the doctors had was birth control pills. Lorraine is passionate about keeping homeopathy safe.

With her husband, four kids, two dogs, and lots of friends, Allison Stusse, from Virginia, is on the level. She discovered homeopathy after several years delving into natural methods for healing, oils, herbs, and chiropractic care. She has been using homeopathy with her family for two and one-half years and continues to grow, learn, and use it as their primary medicine.

Diana Johnson, another Tennessean, is the on the up and up, Assistant Secretary. She has a husband and six children. As a new student of homeopathy, she awoke one morning to find a golf ball sized boil with an angry red circumference the size of a tennis ball. She quickly looked up the protocol and administered the remedy. Over the next couple of days, the boil and redness steadily decreased in size until there was nothing palpable to detect. She was ecstatic to realize that she could use homeopathy to heal and even avoid surgery with her limited knowledge of this miraculous medicine.

The upfront Project Manager, Jessica Hunter, calls Oregon her home with her husband, three children, and three dogs. Her daughter was struggling with constant illnesses which led to rounds of antibiotics. After using Calc carb 30c daily for two months, now she is the only one not getting sick. She has not had to visit the doctor at all during the school year.

Candid, Christina Wahl, Project Manager, lives in California with her husband, three kids, and a golden retriever puppy. She has been using homeopathy for fourteen years for her family and pets.

Another Californian, Melody Devemark, Public Relations is fair and square. She likes to introduce and discuss homeopathy with other local moms as she nurtures her three-year-old daughter and currently deployed US Army husband. Melody always keeps Apis melifica close. Being severely allergic to bee stings, she was stung and with signs of distress, driven to the nearest urgent care facility. Because of the side effects of the EpiPen shot, profuse sweating, quickened heart rate, and pounding headache, she searched and found an alternative, Apis. The next time stung, loading doses of the remedy subsided the allergic symptoms within the hour.
