Summary of Today’s Episode:

Our late attorney, Jim Turner, said that there are two forms of currency on Capitol Hill: Dollars and People. While we don’t have a ton of money in Homeopathy, we have a wealth of dedicated people who are willing to make a huge effort. That’s what the HAT team is all about. The HAT team is our grassroots team that works with their federal legislators (house/senate). Their mission is to build meaningful and positive relationships with the representative and office staffers. This stands out to offices because so many organizations are lobbyist dependent with one person as a voice rather than all of us united as a voice.

We are a highly organized group. We provide training, templates, discussion outlines, monthly updates the HAT member sends their staffers, and more. Over the next few weeks, you’ll be learning more about this precious resource. We have worked with a lot of amazing natural health advocacy organizations like ours, and we have yet to find a group that has such an organized and bipartisan grassroots advocacy team. We are all lucky to have homeopathy, and because we want to keep it, we are all indebted to our dedicated HAT members, but we need to grow our HAT team in order to be successful.

Today, we are all overwhelmed. I’m overwhelmed, and everyone who can hear my voice is probably very busy. But our goal is to give you tiny, bite-sized tasks, and little by little, a little becomes a lot over time. The trick to making bite-sized tasks is planning, and that’s what we’ve done for you. The HAT team is our most precious asset and the greatest chance we have at winning our fight to protect homeopathy in the USA.

OK! That’s it for this week. Join us next week as we talk about the mother hens of our HAT team!
